Shortcodes are WordPress-specific code that lets you do nifty things with very little effort.

Shortcodes can embed files or create objects that would normally require lots of complicated code in just one line

In this template there are a veriety of Shortcodes that can be used to display Post and Pages, insert images, buttons and video files.

Shortcodes are contained withing squrae brackets […] with the name of the shortcode and any perramiters used.

A quick excample of a shortcode can be found at the top of this page next to the Add Media button. Pressing this will give you access to the column shortcode which allows you to have columns on your page.

To create a two column page you woould press the [ ] button and selectect the One Half and One Half Last options which would give two shortcodes
[ one_half ]your content[ /one_half ][ one_half_last ]your content[ /one_half_last ] would create a two column page.
