There is a national campaign called "20’s Plenty", calling for the default speed limit in some residential areas to be 20 mph. Click here for more info, or go to the national website in the link above.

Many towns and villages in Hertfordshire and across the country are introducing or trialling the scheme. with the aim of improving both ROAD SAFETY and AIR QUALITY.

How do you feel about the Parish Council supporting such a scheme for parts of Potten End and Frithsden/Nettleden?

Physical traffic calming measures such as chicanes and speed humps require EXTRA STREET LIGHTING to be installed.

HCC's policy is that there should be no objects on the verge (stones, stakes, vegetation etc) without their prior agreement.

The Parish Council has been campaigning to get the speed limit lowered from 50mph to 40mph along the Common (the section that runs from just after the trident junction at the top of Gravel Path, and the entrance to Potten End, where it becomes 30 mph).

This question relates to the road that runs through the golf course.

Most rural roads between Potten End, Nettleden and Frithsden are derestricted (60 mph), despite having no footpath, presenting many visibility challenges and often not wide enough for two cars to easily pass each other. Being in the Chilterns AONB and so close to Ashridge, there are an increasing number of walkers, runners, cyclists and horse-riders on these roads. Would you support this speed reduction?
